Collected here is all the concept art for Clown Cops! Admittedly there isn’t as much as I’d like as I tend to just have everything in my head but I’m going to make an effort to change that!
An old drawing from many years ago, it would then go on to be used as the base for Lesteras design.
When starting out the rough ideas for Clown Cops, this was the first drawing. Colin almost has what would be his final design here, though with blue lips and a pink stripe on his hat instead of black.
The final designs for both Lestera and Colin, which would then go on to be used in the first promo poster. I could have just made reference sheets but went for more dynamic poses.
Mandys original design featured a far more realistic skull, it is more cartoony in the final comic. She’ll always be an important character to me, as the first one we ever see!
Papa ‘n’ Pops, Lesteras parents! They were originally going to be like living billboards, made of plastic and metal. Once I drew these final designs that changed however, as I wanted them to be organic and warm for Lestera. They’re larger than life~!
A very early rough design for a character that ultimately got replaced by Delia. I’m most likely going to use this as a base for another character down the line.
